The makers of the AST Advantage card acknowledge that some of their cards do have problems running at 8MHz. We recommend that you contact AST if your cards have this problem. NOTE Because of the complex nature of compatibility in products designed for the IBM PC family, untested conditions of incompatibility are occasionally discovered. To reduce risks involving the use of products that seem to be compatible with the IBM PC family standard, we recommend the following: 1. Contact all the manufacturers of the products you plan to use to determine any known problems associated with the use of the equipment. 2. Back up your system regularly to prevent the loss of valuable data.
